Humanitarianism/Volunteerism This branch will focus on promoting
the concept that learning about and getting involved in the greater
world and making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate
than ourselves will promote self esteem and bring joy to the helper
as well as the helped, in addition to fulfilling our
responsibilities as citizens in our communities, our country and on
the earth we share with all human beings. Discovering/developing
ways to incorporate what we already enjoy into our UWC projects will
be stressed, in order to appeal to a busy, multi task oriented population. Networking
with and raising awareness of like minded
organizations will be an important component of all branches of the
UWC.
